Erasmus+: mobilità in Portogallo (Batalha)

Erasmus Plus KA229: progetto “A lab in my pocket”

What a fantastic experience!

Mobility in Portugal was really nice because I had new experiences that made me more aware of my skills and what I would like to do in the future.

This "adventure" that I did was very interesting and fun despite the small mishaps we understand.

I started with enthusiasm, but also with the fear of not being able to face the situation better: thinking of going to school in a foreign country and living in a house with people I didn't know, always having to speak in English, scared me a little'. But everything went well, indeed super good!

As soon as we arrived we were welcomed by the family that hosted us all week, I was very tired that day, so I have to admit that I didn't understand what was happening; despite this, I was very excited.

The family from the first to the last day was very hospitable and above all kind to us; even their son was very nice and kind to me and Mattia (the partner who participated with me in the Erasmus project).

Our family made us visit many typical Portuguese tourist cities that I think are very nice.

A city that I really enjoyed visiting is Lisbon because it is a very beautiful and interesting port city (from a historical point of view).

Another city that struck me so much is Nazarè where I saw the Atlantic Ocean: on the shore came gigantic waves that I never tired of looking at (since I am a big fan of the waves).

In the days we went to school we did two workshops that I liked a lot: they were interesting because they were about science and technology. We have done experiments on light and activity on robotics.

One thing that struck me a lot is that the Portuguese school (where we were guests together with other students and professors from the other countries participating in the Erasmus project) welcomed us very well, even with dances made with us. The thing I will miss about this "adventure" is the Portuguese school and above all the son and the family that hosted us because they were very nice with us and also very kind.

I would very much like to redo this experience because now I understand how beautiful and how interesting it can be; I have known different ways of living, going to school and above all new people of various nationalities. How nice the Erasmus Project is!

Hi, my name is Mattia and I went to Portugal for a week, thanks to the Erasmus + project.

I enjoyed this period a lot, I found beautiful places and I met wonderful people.

This journay helped me with the language, but it also helped me to be more confident with my self because this was my first experience abroad on my own.

I hope I can repeat this experience in my future and I suggest other people to do it.

For me Portugal was fantastic because I learned a little more English I saw how they live in their homes and outside like in school, another very beautiful thing and that families are affectionate and make you feel as good as you do feel good about your family; this also applies to school mates are very affectionate towards others. This was a fantasist experience that I believe I never forget.

This experience in Portugal was a great one, because it taught me the real happiness: like when you know new people and you start to be friends, or when you enjoy everything about something and you look at all the positive sides of something. It also taught me that is important to know people from other countries and maintein the relashionships that we did during the Erasmus.
